Apr. 5--Thai Airways International and Krung Thai Bank are to become shareholders in a new 2.78-billion-baht hotel project to serve the Suvarnabhumi Airport.
The venture is among 20.7 billion baht worth of projects approved yesterday by the government's new airport development committee, chaired by Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
The 600-room hotel would be under a joint venture with Airports of Thailand Co holding a 60 percent stake, Thai Airways 30 percent and Krung Thai Bank 10 percent. The initial registered capital of the new entity is 31.78 million baht.
