Apr. 5--Leading advertising agencies in Thailand have lowered their media spending growth forecasts to 5-8 percent this year, from 10 percent projected earlier, as businesses are expected to tighten their advertising budgets as a result of the Sars outbreak and the impact from the war in Iraq.
Under the revised scenario, total media spending would be between 64 billion and 65 billion baht, down from 67 billion projected before.
Executives said the impact was not being felt yet but would be seen before the end of the second quarter.
