Apr. 4--The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) wants the government to review its decision to close artesian wells in industrial areas where tap water is available, citing eased land subsidence.
Vice-chairman Kietphong Noichaiboon said industrial operators were unclear about the measures aimed at revitalising artesian wells.
"We ask the government to review its artesian use policy based on new information about usage and land subsidence levels and we are willing to provide full co-operation to the government in artesian water conservation."
