Executive of Thailand Internet Service Provider Retains Job Thanks to Loophole.

Apr. 4--A loophole in the regulations of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has allowed Kittipat Yaoprukse to continue to sit as managing director of Roynet Plc even as he faces criminal charges on insider trading and accounting fraud.
The SET formally blacklisted Mr Kittipat from holding a directors' seat or executive position at any listed company for 10 years in February following an investigation into various securities violations allegedly committed last year.
But Prasarn Trairatvorakul, secretary-general of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), said the SET rule did not prohibit Mr Kittipat from ...
