Thai Medical Research Company Works to Develop Rapid SARS Test.

Apr. 3--Bangkok RIA, a Thai-owned medical research and development company, is working on producing quick-test diagnosis equipment for Sars, following its successful development of HIV quick testing equipment.
Forty researchers were currently involved in the effort to develop ways to test for the deadly virus, said Ninlawan Pichayayothin, the company's president and chief executive.
"We (BRIA) are ready for this task since we are among the world's most capable companies in the medical quick-test equipment business," she said.
