Apr. 3--Thai Confection Industry Co plans new outlets to cover all international airports in Thailand to help makers expand the Thai dessert market.
The company, wholly owned by the SMEs Promotion Office, has opened its first Sawasdi shop at Don Muang International Airport.
More outlets at other international airports would help Thai desserts become better known internationally, said Industry Minister Somsak Thepsuthin, a staunch promoter of the products.
The company plans to set up its next outlets at Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Hat Yai and Phuket airports.
