Virginia Businesses Among Leading African-American Firms in Magazine's Survey.

May 16--Eighteen businesses in Virginia, including Consolidated Bank & Trust of Richmond, are among the nation's leading African-American businesses, according to Black Enterprise magazine's 31st annual report.

A total of 285 black-owned companies were included in this year's report, which will be published in the June issue. The issue hits newsstands May 27.

The report ranks businesses in eight categories such as automotive dealers, advertising agencies, banks, and industrial/service companies. The rankings were based on revenue or assets, depending upon the industry.
