May 15--Thai Copyright Collection Co (TCC) Co, a subsidiary of Thailand's second-largest entertainment group, RS Promotion Plc, has insisted that the existing music copyright fee rates are fair and has no plans of changing them.

The issue of fee collection has been raised after a group of karaoke operators, led by the Karaoke Jukebox and Computer Federation, staged a protest against RS' collection on Monday at the Commerce Ministry.

They asked TCC to reduce fees on song copyrights and accused RS of raiding karaoke bars without warrants, using off-duty police officers hired by TCC.
