May 15--Mida Assets Plc, a hire-purchase electrical appliance firm, plans to hold an initial public offering (IPO) in June, with shares expected to begin trading the following month.

Managing director Kamol Eawsivigoon said that underwriter Asset Plus Plc had submitted application documents to the Securities and Exchange Committee on May 12.

The funds raised from the issue of 20 million shares will be used to repay loans and open new branches to tap into the increasing demand for consumer products.

Last year, the company earned 1,515 million baht in revenue, up 192 percent from the previous year, and 98 million baht in net profit which was 213 ...
