May 14--Thai Rating and Information Services (Tris) plans to review ratings of local hotels to ascertain the impact of the deadly Sars virus on credit ratings.

Tris currently has ratings for three companies -- Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, Royal Garden Resort and Premier Resort Krabi.

Tris president Warapatr Todhanakasem said the agency was monitoring the hotel sector carefully in the wake of the outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome.

Mr Warapatr, speaking at a briefing on Tris' performance during the past 10 years, said investors increasingly wanted agencies to be more pro-active in monitoring potential ...
