May 12--PTT Plc's performance will not be affected if the government freezes local natural gas prices to stabilise consumers' power bills, according to Prasert Bunsumpun, senior executive vice-president for the gas business group.
He said gas producers would bear most of the burden from such a move, as they would most likely have to cut their prices.
PTT is in talks with the consortiums that operate the Pailin, Bongkot and Arthit gas fields in the Gulf of Thailand, offshore Songkhla, for price reductions.
