May 8--The anti-piracy campaign that was launched last week has made little progress in cracking down on fake goods, Deputy Commerce Minister Wattana Muangsuk acknowledged yesterday.
He blamed copyright owners and producers for not providing adequate assistance and support to state officials to help the campaign run effectively.
"They have not provided staff and other facilities or financial support but want the government to meet all the expenses," he said. "This is not fair, because we cannot put all our officials to work alone fighting against piracy."
