May 7--Krung Thai Bank says its lending targets will stay unchanged at 70 billion to 100 billion in net growth this year, according to Pongsathorn Siriyodhin, a senior executive vice-president.
He said that while the Sars outbreak had seriously hurt the tourism and hotel industries, the bank's overall loan portfolio was well diversified and was not expected to feel much of an impact.
Loan growth in the first quarter for the state bank stood at 38 billion baht, with 25 billion extended in the first two months of the year.
