May 3--North Korea's nuclear threat has not scared off Thai firms from investing in the communist country, according to Jingjai Hanchanlash, first senior vice-president of Loxley Plc.
He said his firm had recently launched a mobile phone service in North Korea after introducing a free trial service for 100 VIPs in Pyongyang last year.
Loxley's telecom joint venture, called Loxpac, is with Finland's Teltech and Taiwan's Jarungthai.
It was given a 30-year concession in 1995 for land-line communications in Rajin-Sombong, or Rason, special economic zone.
