May 3--The Board of Investment (BoI) is confident it will achieve this year's target of applications for investment privileges for projects worth a total of 200 billion baht despite the Sars outbreak.

Secretary-general Sompong Wanapha assured Industry Minister Somsak Thepsuthin yesterday that foreign businessmen were still keen to invest in Thailand, based on the the improved investment trend in the first quarter.
