May 2--Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has restated his certitude that economic growth would reach an annual 6-7 percent this year and every year until 2006.
Speaking Wednesday evening after a meeting with ministry permanent secretaries, Mr Thaksin said sustainable growth was achievable under the government's reform strategies.
The Bank of Thailand earlier this week announced in its latest inflation report and raised growth projections for next year by one full point to 4.5-6 percent on expectations of a recovery in private investment and the global economy.
