Thai Textile Exporters Upbeat about 5 to 6 Percent Growth.

May 1--Thai textile and garment exporters are optimistic they will exceed the Commerce Ministry's earlier projection of 4 percent growth in exports of their products this year.
Suchart Chantaranakaracha, president of the Thai Garment Manufacturers' Association, said his organisation expected textile and garment exports to grow by 5-6 percent this year from the US$5.15 billion posted in 2002.
He added he was confident that the exports would not be affected by the US-Iraq war or the Sars outbreak.
