May 1--PTT Plc expects its new seven-kilogramme gas cylinder -- kapooklook -- will help increase its share in the household cooking gas market to 50 percent from 37 percent, according to vice-president Sataporn Chaiprasob.
He said PTT was set to expand local sales of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or cooking gas, rather than export it, which incurred a lower margin.
This year the company has targeted to supply at least 350,000 kg per month of cooking gas in the new 7-kg cylinders.
