Jun. 12--National tourism representatives of Apec member countries have agreed to conduct a research study, called Tourism Risk Management in the Asia-Pacific Region, drawing on the impact of Sars, which can be used as a standard guide to solve future crises in the travel and tourism industries.

The Apec International Centre for Sustainable Tourism will conduct the research study, following endorsement by representatives from 16 countries attending the Apec Tourism Forum that began on Monday and will conclude tomorrow in the resort city of Pattaya.
