Agribusiness Group Steps Up Thai Food Promotion.
Jun. 11--Agribusiness giant Charoen Pokphand Group is stepping up its efforts to achieve international food safety and environmental standards as a part of its campaign to promote Thailand as the "Kitchen of the World".
CP Group chairman Dhanin Chearavanont said executives of the group's food-processing affiliates were currently discussing a strategy for developing the competitiveness of Thai food products so that they would be on par with those of international counterparts.
A recent brainstorming event held by the CP Group focused on food quality, food safety, workplace safety and environmental issues.
