Jun. 11--The Consumer confidence index (CCI) in May improved for the first time in three months since the Iraqi war and Sars, which broke out in March, according to a survey by the Thai Chamber of Commerce University.
The CCI for last month stood at 91.7, up from 88.7 in April. The improvement was driven by the rising indices of the overall economy, job opportunities and future income, which stood at 90.5, 80.1 and 104.5 respectively last month. The indices stood at 87.7, 77 and 104.1 respectively in April.
