Jun. 11--Standard Chartered Nakornthon Bank expects its retail unsecured loan portfolio to expand 45 percent from last year to 20 billion baht by year-end.
Araya Phupanich, executive vice-president for consumer banking, said the bank expected its total customer base for unsecured consumer loans to reach 570,000 by the end of the year.
As of the end of last year, Standard Chartered Nakornthon had an outstanding unsecured loan portfolio of 14 billion baht: 3.3 billion baht from 185,000 credit-card holders, 4.6 billion baht to 170,000 overdraft customers and six billion baht to 85,000 instalment loan clients.
