Jun. 10--BEC World Plc, the operator of top-rated television Channel 3, said yesterday that it was considering paying an interim dividend and approving a share split to improve the liquidity of its stock.

"For the share split, it is possible that we have to do that, but we have to consider the right timing ... It also needs an approval from our board of directors and shareholders," said Chatchai Thiamtong, vice-president for finance.

He said the board was due to meet next in August.

BEC said in a statement to the Stock Exchange of Thailand that it was also "studying the pros and cons" of paying more than one dividend a year.
