Thai Finance Agency May Offer Tax Breaks for Community-Based Manufacturers.

Jun. 10--The Finance Ministry is considering offering special tax privileges to companies involved in the One Tambon, One Product development programme.
Wisudhi Srisuphan, director-general of the Fiscal Policy Office, said the privileges would be aimed to provide assistance to producers until they were able to strengthen their operations and stand on their own.
The One Tambon, One Product programme was established by the government two years ago as a vehicle to encourage rural communities to improve their product development and marketing strategies.
