Thailand's Largest Mobile Phone Operator to Share Technology.

Jun. 9--Thailand's largest mobile phone operator Advanced Info Service Place (AIS) aims to nearly double its revenue from non-voice services this year from 2002 to around 5.5 to six billion baht.
The telecom industry in Thailand is beefing up its non-voice services as a means to generate more revenues to counterbalance a slowdown in customer base growth.
As part of this effort, AIS plans to link up with Japanese telecom operators to share technology and develop wireless solutions to meet customers needs.
