Jun. 9--A maker of bamboo crafts has capitalised on the growing popularity of natural, handmade goods by setting up a company to handle direct exports.
Prachin Bamboo Handicraft Co will be established this month with registered capital of one million baht to produce and export bamboo handicrafts, according to Dussanee Leela, a partner in the venture.
At present, the goods are shipped to Australia, France, the United States, Singapore, the Philippines, Japan and South Korea through intermediaries.
