Jun. 2--The Tourism and Sports Ministry's 400-million-baht paid-holiday programme to spur the battered tourism industry will only be offered to selected groups of civil servants, local administrative officers and university students.
Vichit Na Ranong, chairman of the Tourism Council of Thailand which was appointed to design tour packages for the target groups, said the packages would be offered to those who showed good performances as an incentive.
Each agency including local administrations and universities would select those who deserve to get the free vacation. Other details of the selection process have not been finalised.
