Jul. 7--Major Cineplex Group Plc, the country's largest cinema chain, expects its new cinema, opened last week in Nakhon Sawan, to be a noticeable contributor to the company's total sales, drawing between 800,000 and one million moviegoers in its first year.

Though not a high-density population centre, Nakhon Sawan had good sales potential due to the lack of good cinemas and the relatively high purchasing power of local people, it said.

Only a few traditional cinemas are located in the province of more than one million people southwest of Bangkok.
