Jul. 7--The Board of Investment has (BoI) has reiterated its desire to grant promotional privileges to agricultural projects that provide value-added products, according to deputy secretary-general Piromsak Laparojkit

Projects in the food processing and rubber-related sectors were identified by officials as industries that could develop more value-added products because they tend to ship their products in raw material form and are often located in clusters.

Promoted projects get an eight-year corporate tax holiday and tax breaks on imported machinery.
