Jul. 6--The Commerce Ministry's plan to require the owners of commercial buildings and outdoor signs and billboards to buy insurance is expected to become effective within the 30 days, according to Deputy Commerce Minister Watana Muangsook.
The aim is to protect third parties and raise premium revenue in the miscellaneous insurance segment in the next five years to 37 billion baht from an estimated 17 billion baht this year.
