Jul. 4--TOURISM AUTHORITY RESTRUCTURED TO SPUR MARKETING: The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has been restructured to streamline marketing operations, dividing the agency into five main departments.
TAT governor Juthamas Siriwan said the restructuring would allow the agency to sustain regular campaigns and also respond more quickly to sudden changes in economic and political conditions caused by external shocks.
Five new deputy governors have been named to head the departments.
