Jul. 1--The Insurance Department has set premiums for the new Ua-arthorn low-cost life insurance at one baht a day or 365 baht per year, with a coverage of 400,000 baht in the case of fatal accidents and disability.

The new policy will carry similar terms to personal accident (PA) policies that have no savings component and require policyholders to renew every year, acording to Deputy Commerce Minister Watana Muangsook.

Excluded from coverage are death from illness, suicide and drug overdoses.
