Aug. 4--The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) plans to use some Hollywood celebrities and heads of Apec nations as publicity tools for the Thailand Privilege Card.
The one-million-baht card entitles the holder to lifetime membership entailing free use of selected golf courses, spas and medical treatment. Cards will be handed to high-profile public figures such as Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and Hollywood superstars during the next several months.
The move is part of TAT's public relations machinery to create a prestigious image for the privilege cards, according to TAT governor Juthamas ...
