Taxes of Thailand Movie, Music Superstars Amount to About 1 Billion Baht.

Aug. 5--Personal income taxes collected from movie and music superstars currently run around one billion baht per year, according to the Revenue Department.
Officials say they are relatively satisfied with the payment histories of top stars, a group that counts among the top professions in terms of taxes paid.
Most stars in the entertainment industry pay a top rate of 30 percent, which under Thailand's progressive system implies net income from one million to four million baht per year.
A more select group occupies the highest tax bracket of 37 percent, applied on incomes over four million baht per year. ...
