Sep. 3--Standard Chartered Bank has been named the best bond house in Thailand in the 2003 Country Awards by Finance Asia magazine.
The bank managed issues worth 21.2 billion baht in 2002, equal to a 21 percent market share. It was also the top bookrunner for all Thai baht bonds in Thomson Financial's league tables. As well, the bank ranked first in surveys by Bloomberg and the Thai Bond Dealing Centre.
