Oct. 3--Entrepreneur Witawad Boonyasatid is diversifying his business from lubricant oil to vegetable oil, hotels and bird's nest production in the near future.

The managing director of Beloil Co, the distributor of Veloil lubricants, said he bought a three-star hotel in southern Pattaya last year. Architects have been assigned to redesign the hotel, which is due to reopen soon.

In another move, Mr Witawad also obtained a concession from the governor of Chumphon province to collect birds' nests, a highly lucrative business, on several islands in the South.
