Oct. 3--A new law might be passed to enable state agencies to take more co-ordinated action against delinquent borrowers.
Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra last month said that agencies such as the Revenue Department and the Anti-Money Laundering Office would be enlisted to help prosecute "strategic NPLs", or borrowers who deliberately defaulted on their loans despite the means to pay.
