Oct. 1--Riche Monde (Bangkok) aims to recapture the leadership position in the standard whisky segment for it Spey Royal brand after losing the top spot to Seagram Thailand's 100 Pipers three years ago.
The company plans to double its spending on advertising and promotional activities, said Peesapatr Deedabken, Riche Monde's senior marketing manager, who did not disclose the marketing budget.
The company also will stress that Spey Royal is a real scotch made in Scotland in order to clarify a misunderstanding in the market that the brand is distilled in the Philippines.
