Oct. 1--Sentiment on the Stock Exchange of Thailand is expected to weaken over the next several weeks during the Apec meetings, but prospects are likely to pick up afterward as numerous companies prepare to launch new initial public offerings and enter the market.
Kongkiat Opaswongkarn, president of Asset Plus Securities, said investors were concerned about a potential terrorist attack over the Apec meetings in Bangkok from Oct 18-21.
