Thailand Cement Producer Plans New Bid to Raise $180 Million.
Oct. 1--TPI Polene Plc has appointed Tisco Securities as financial adviser and underwriter in a fresh attempt to raise US$180 million through a public share offering.
It will be the second attempt by the country's third largest cement producer to recapitalise by floating new shares on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
An early offering in March of 714.7 million shares failed to reach the minimum threshold of $180 million due to poor market sentiment.
Under its debt-restructuring agreement, TPI Polene was to raise between $180 million and $270 million for repurchasing debts at 15 percent less than their face value.
