Clarke's offer reportedly angers Lindros family.

PHILADELPHIA _ On the same day that Flyers general manager Bob Clarke expressed remorse over the deterioration of his relationship with center Eric Lindros and pledged to "do whatever I can" to improve it, Clarke sent the former captain a qualifying offer that would allow the Flyers to ship Lindros to the minor-league Phantoms and dramatically slash his salary.

The "two-way" contract would allow the Flyers to pay Lindros a minor-league salary of $85,000, Clarke confirmed. That is just 1 percent of the $8.5 million qualifying offer that Clarke extended to Lindros on July 1.
