Montgomery County, Ohio, campaign finance probe leads to bank subpoenas.

Sep. 17--Ohio Secretary of State J. Kenneth Blackwell issued subpoenas Thursday to six banks to turn over records showing who is authorized signatories on Montgomery County Republican Party accounts.

The subpoenas were issued to Bank One, Fifth Third, US Bank, National City, Provident and Huntington National. They have until Sept. 24 to turn over the records.

The subpoenas are part of an ongoing investigation into alleged campaign finance irregularities involving Republican fund-raisers, political consultants and the Ohio Taxpayers …
