Gas Prices Fall Slightly in New York State.

Apr. 21--Don't get carried away, but gasoline prices have actually fallen a bit from a month ago.

Motorists in New York state are paying an average of $1.58 per gallon for self-serve unleaded regular gas, down two pennies from mid-March, according to a survey by the American Automobile Association. Nationwide, the average price dropped a nickel, to $1.49.

Industry watchers credit the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries' recent decision to raise production with spurring the decline in prices.
