May 15--MESH NETWORKS IS FLUSH WITH NEW CASH AND LOOKING TO HIRE: Mesh Networks Inc., the latest high-tech baby to roll out of Milcom Inc.'s incubator, comes armed with a $1 million venture-capital deal, some major hiring plans and expectations of a bigger investment deal yet to come.

The communications technology developer, which was established in February, became one of eight Central Florida companies to land venture deals during the first quarter, according to PricewaterhouseCoopers' recent venture-capital survey.

Two major venture funds are its lead investors: BancBoston Ventures and Patricof & Co., the same two funds that led a $16 million investment in Milcom, the Maitland-based incubator and high-tech …
