Jun. 18--The energy sector has remained red-hot, and several Oklahoma companies' stock prices continue to rise.
In the last week alone, four state energy companies hit 52- week highs. The question now becomes, is it too late to invest in those companies?
"It's not too late," said Fred Mutalibov, an energy analyst who specializes in oilfield services companies for Southwest Securities in Dallas. "But I would recommend that investors be selective."
In other words, don't buy into an energy company just because it's an energy company. Do some research and then do some "cherry-picking," as Mutalibov called it.
