Aug. 25--Some area workers who've recently lost their jobs are discovering that a Chattanooga tech school is both a safety net and launching pad.
Nearly 400 people were recently left unemployed and, in some cases, uncertain about their futures when Rossville Yarn temporarily shut down production and Albertson's closed its local stores and checked out of the area supermarket industry.
In both cases, however, career placement counselors from Chattanooga State Technical Community College were on hand to lend support.
