Sep. 7--Presiding Boone County commissioner Don Stamper called the proposed plans for Brookfield Estates well thought-out, but he voted against it.

He joined Southern District commissioner Karen Miller last night in rejecting a request by Keith and Chastity Samuel to rezone their 94 acres south of Rock Bridge State Park from agricultural to planned zoning. Northern District commissioner Linda Vogt cast her vote in favor. County staff favored the request if the developer agreed to certain conditions, though it was turned down before the Planning and Zoning Commission earlier in the month.
