Sep. 12--Our addiction to the car is strong, even in environmentally conscious Boulder.
Officials were disappointed that many city employees used their own vehicles to get to work instead of a bus, bike or a car pool during Boulder's "No Drive Day" last month.
But backers of alternative transportation aren't giving up. They hope that a package of incentives offered Wednesday will help turn Boulder County's 270,000 residents away from SUVs, minivans, smog and congestion.
