Investors Take Notice of Two Oklahoma Firms.

Sep. 17--Investors this week took notice of two Oklahoma companies that are often overlooked among their bigger, better-known peers.

On Wednesday, Panhandle Royalty Company saw its stock price shoot up to a 52-week high of 17 after opening the week at 121/4. The next day, Local Financial Corp., followed suit, setting its own 52-week high of 11.118.

Both companies credited their industries in general -- and strengths within their own companies in particular -- for the climb in their stock prices. Both also speculated that their stock is finally being "discovered" by investors looking for good buys within their respective …
