Oct. 1--DESPITE FALL IN LUCENT STOCK, INVESTORS URGED NOT TO SELL: Sometimes the week's biggest local stock story isn't very local.

Instead, it's about a company 1,500 miles away in Murray Hill, N.J. It's about a stock whose price has plummeted 67 percent in less than a year and, on Wednesday, hit an all-new 52-week low.

It's about Lucent Technologies -- employer of roughly 4,000 Oklahoma City locals, many of whom have a keen, vested interest in how their company's stock is performing. And the news, of late, has been anything but good.
